Trabear is a one-person vintage operation out of Toronto, built on a simple belief: the best clothes have already been made.
We dig through the racks, the estate lots, and the forgotten corners of the secondhand world so you don't have to. What makes the cut is a short list — real designer pieces, honest construction, fabric that's aged into something better, and that hard-to-explain thing where a garment just has a face. Most of what we look at doesn't make it. That's the point.
Every piece has a past life
Nothing here is new, and we think that's the best thing about it. A blazer that's been worn for twenty years drapes in a way nothing off a current rack can. We photograph every item exactly as it is, measure it flat, and tell you about every flaw we find — the good, the bad, and the beautifully broken-in. One of each. When it's gone, it's gone.
Why the bear?
Because a bear is cute right up until it isn't — and that's exactly how we feel about fashion. Soft on the outside, teeth underneath. He's been our mascot since day one and he approves every piece that ships out. (He has excellent taste and terrible manners.)
From Toronto, with wear
We're based in Toronto and ship across Canada and the United States. Every order is checked, steamed, and packed by hand. If you want more photos or measurements before you buy, just ask — there's a real person here, and probably a bear.
