Sizing & fit
The tag says M. Will it fit like a modern M?
Probably not — and that's normal for vintage. Sizing standards have shifted a lot over the decades, and designer sizing runs its own game entirely. That's why we ignore the tag and measure every piece flat: pit to pit, length, shoulders, sleeves, and more for trousers. Compare those numbers against a similar garment you own and love the fit of. That method almost never misses.
How do I measure my own clothes to compare?
Lay the garment flat on a hard surface, buttons closed. Pit to pit is straight across just under the armholes. Length is from the highest point of the shoulder (next to the collar) straight down. If you're between numbers, size for the measurement that matters most to you — shoulders for jackets, waist for trousers.
Can you send more measurements or photos?
Always. Message us with the item name and what you want to see — extra angles, close-ups of any detail, a specific measurement. We'd rather spend five minutes now than have you guess.
Condition & authenticity
What condition are your pieces in?
Each listing states a condition grade with specifics. Vintage means a past life — light fading or softened fabric consistent with age is part of the deal and not counted as a flaw. Anything beyond that (marks, repairs, missing buttons) is always written out and photographed up close. No surprises is the whole business model.
Are your designer pieces authentic?
We inspect labels, stitching, hardware, and construction on every designer piece and describe exactly what we see in good faith. If an item is ever confirmed counterfeit by a reputable authentication service, we'll take it back for a full refund — no time limit. That's in our Terms of Service, not just a promise on a FAQ page.
Do the clothes come cleaned?
Every piece is inspected, cleaned or freshly laundered as appropriate for the fabric, and steamed before it ships. It arrives ready to wear.
Ordering & shipping
Where do you ship?
Canada and the US. Canadian orders ship free over $150; US orders ship free over $200. Everything is tracked. Full details in our Shipping Policy.
How fast will I get my order?
We pack and ship within 1–3 business days from Toronto. Canada: usually 2–7 business days. US: usually 5–10. Express options are available at checkout if you're in a hurry.
I'm in the US — will I pay customs fees?
Possibly, depending on current customs rules. Any duties or import fees are set by customs, not by us, and are the buyer's responsibility. We declare every shipment accurately.
Can you hold an item for me?
We can't — every piece is one of one, and holds aren't fair to other buyers. If you love it, that's the universe telling you something.
Returns
What's your return policy in one sentence?
Fit and change of mind are final sale (that's why we measure everything); if the item isn't as described, contact us within 7 days and we'll make it right with a refund — full details in our Return & Refund Policy.
Why don't you accept returns for fit?
Because every item is unique, a returned piece means it was off the market for weeks for everyone else. In exchange, we give you every measurement and every flaw up front, and we'll send any extra photo you want before you commit. Buy with the numbers, not the tag.
